Spark Energy Completes Migration to VertexOne, Unifying All Markets and Brands on VXretail and VXexchange
PR Newswire
HOUSTON, Nov. 3, 2026
All of Spark Energy’s roughly 445,000 RCEs now run on a single integrated platform, adding to VertexOne’s track record as a proven migration partner for retail energy suppliers
HOUSTON, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — VertexOne announced that Spark Energy has completed its migration to the VXretail and VXexchange platforms. All of Spark’s markets and brands, roughly 445,000 RCEs across 111 utility service territories in 21 states and Washington, D.C., now operate on VertexOne. Throughout the transition, the teams worked to minimize impact on Spark’s customers and day-to-day operations. It is the latest in a series of large-scale retail energy migrations VertexOne has delivered for suppliers across the deregulated energy market.
The migration brought customer accounts, billing operations, market transactions, and associated business processes onto one integrated platform, consolidating the multiple systems Spark had brought together through more than a decade of acquisitions and growth, and giving the company a modern, scalable foundation built for the future.
“Each market has its own requirements, but we need to run the business as a whole,” said Paul Konikowski, Chief Operating Officer at Spark Energy. “Moving onto VXretail and VXexchange gives our team one system to work from instead of several, with greater flexibility and clearer visibility into our data across every brand and market. The VertexOne team understood our operations and worked alongside our people from day one, and the transition was smooth as a result. That gives us a strong foundation to grow into new markets and bring on new customers faster.”
VertexOne’s implementation and customer service teams supported Spark at every stage of the migration. The company says this kind of hands-on support is central to how it reduces risk in large, complex migrations for energy suppliers.
“Bringing multiple brands and markets onto one platform, while keeping customer service and billing running smoothly, is exactly what we’ve built our platform and our team to do,” said Ananda Goswami, Senior Vice President, Sales Strategy at VertexOne. “Spark is the latest in a run of suppliers moving onto VertexOne this year, and the reason is always the same: they’ve outgrown running their business across separate systems. For any supplier facing that decision, Spark shows a migration of this scale doesn’t have to be a risk.”
