Promotion reflects Duncan’s growing leadership role as CSWR continues to scale and evolve
ST. LOUIS, MO, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Central States Water Resources (CSWR), 10th largest investor-owned water and wastewater utility in the United States and largest owner and operator of domestic wastewater treatment systems, today announced the promotion of Mike Duncan to Senior Vice President.
Duncan joined CSWR in 2018 as Director of Business Operations and has held increasingly senior leadership roles as the company has expanded its operations and national footprint. During that time, he has helped guide critical areas of the business through significant growth and increasing operational complexity.
As Senior Vice President, Duncan provides executive leadership for CSWR’s capital program, including engineering and construction, as well as Information Technology, while driving enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen efficiency, scalability, and execution across the company.
“Mike has been an important part of CSWR’s growth and evolution,” said Josiah Cox, President and Founder of CSWR. “He has the ability to see both the big picture and what it takes operationally to get there. As we continue to grow, that combination of strategic thinking, strong leadership and execution will be increasingly important to our continued success.”
Since Duncan joined CSWR, the company has grown from fewer than 10 employees to approximately 485 and expanded its operations to 11 states. Today, CSWR owns and operates more than 1,000 regulated water and wastewater systems serving nearly 500,000 customers.
“CSWR has changed tremendously since I joined the company, and I’m proud of what our teams have built together,” said Duncan. “As we look ahead, I’m excited about the opportunity to strengthen the organization behind our growth and help ensure we’re positioned to carry out our mission at an even greater scale.”
Duncan earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. He was also previously recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 honoree.
