NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, September 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Sim Shalom, a pioneer in online Jewish worship, will welcome 5787 with High Holiday services both in person on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and live online for its community around the world.

Led by founder Rabbi Steven Blane, Rosh Hashanah in person services will take place Saturday, September 12 at 10:30 AM ET, with Yom Kippur services on Monday, September 21 at 10:30 AM ET. Live worship will be held at Grace & St. Paul’s Church, 123 West 71st Street in Manhattan, with both services also available live online. You can also join these and a slate of other services online.

For more than 15 years, Sim Shalom has challenged the idea that a synagogue needs four walls. Long before online worship became commonplace, the congregation was using technology to bring together Jews, interfaith families and seekers regardless of geography.

“This year we get the best of both worlds,” said Rabbi Blane. “We’ll gather together in New York while welcoming people from across the country and around the world into the same community. The High Holidays belong to all of us, wherever we happen to be.”

Rabbi Blane will lead the services with guitar and vocals, joined by James McQuade on bass and Lucy Galiher on piano. The services blend traditional High Holiday liturgy with contemporary music, reflection and Sim Shalom’s inclusive approach to Jewish worship.
